  1. i think they r just like the rest of us with an accent

  2. As an American, I appreciate the fact that the British have continued their friendship with the American people and have sent troops to both Iraq and Afghanistan in what has increasingly been an unpopular war.  At the same time, however, they haven't been afraid to speak their minds and offer criticism.  I  value that quality as well.

My dad was stationed with the 8th Air Force outside of Cambridge, England, during World War II.  He always spoke with great fondness of the English people throughout the rest of his life.  He attended church at a Methodist Chapel off base, and he also took classes in International Law at Trinity College, Cambridge.

When I was growing up in Central Texas, the British were a part of my everyday life:  1) My dad's secretary was an English war bride; 2) our church secretary was from Wales, and 3) our minister was from Scotland.   Accordingly, you Brits seem like distant cousins that Americans like myself visit every other decade or so.

I often read "The Times" and "The Scotsman" as well as scan BBC news online to get a viewpoint different from the American press.  Many of your concerns are ours as well, and yes, most Americans and most Brits could loose weight.

  3. They're funny and have a good sense of humor. They're witty as well. But some are nice, while others.....ehh....really stiff.

  4. No such thing as "British" people.

They are Scottish, English & Welsh.

  5. I love the British people there sense of humor is unique I do have to say that I like the different accents within the country but sometimes it is difficult to understand. What they are saying they are pleasant people though but I think that like any country there are good elements and bad ones within the country.

  6. Love 'em!

  7. They're some of the best and strongest allies we've ever had.

  8. Snap answer: clever and s**y but emotionally shallow.

  9. They are ok.I have been to many countries and they each have their good and bad qualities.I have only seen one person with bad teeth since I have been back but,I think that was due to an accident.Yes,obesity is becoming a problem, with the import of the junk food mentality of the americans but, unlike those barely mobile mountains of blubber,in america,it is not too bad yet. They are still friendly and hilariously funny, the humour being spontainious, unlike the predictable tele prompted humour prevalent in america.I haven't noticed the racism,as pointed out by one ill informed contributor,.I am sure there is but,it is nothing comapred to america and I have yet to become aware of it.They smoke too much?Well,in my opinion a person who even smokes one, smokes too much but,we are working on it and all public places are smoke free. So,all in all,I was pretty impressed when I cam back.

Edit.....By the way, what does this question have to do with Royalty?Shouldn't this be posted in the "Society and Culture"category?

  10. I love their accent.

I don't think Welsh or French would count as being British though. Oh well! I love being French and Welsh!

  12. I have liked all the ones I've met.

  13. Koolest ppl ever! (im seriously not British)

  14. They are human beings just like the rest of the world. There are good people, bad people, talented people, attractive people...and all can be found in the UK and all over the world.
