This 1st time mother drops off her baby boy with her parents to babysit even though her parents are still working (so the parents have to rearrange their work schedule). The new mom is 31 yrs old & has a history of travelling for leisure. After having the baby, her lifestyle obviously hasn’t changed as it should. She continues to travel practically once every month for a week to a week & a half long leaving the baby with her parents to baby-sit. The baby’s grandparents say they enjoy taking care of the baby (of course, it’s their 1st grandchild) but they admit that they find it very tiring. So far they’ve baby-sat 3 times in less than 3 mths. These trips were paid for by the new mom’s in-laws with whom she travels with. IMO, this new mom doesn’t have to say yes to these paid trips as the in-laws buy the airplane tickets without consulting her and I’ve been told that she complains about how her in-laws buy these tickets for her to go on these trips without consulting with her first. 1. and who are you to all this?????????

i think shes just going to miss out the best moments with her baby and she will regret it some day.....i think it will catch up to her .....and if she continues one day her baby is gonna grow up and its not going to have any sort of communication with her. so there you go it will catch up one way or another trust me.

  2. not much...

  3. She'll pay for it later when the child treats her less like a mother and more like a sibling.

  4. Put this issue in contrast to the social situation we find in society today in the USA and UK.

Most families are now single parent families with few support structures. Single parents are forced to work long hours and multiple jobs and encouraged to dump their children into childcare. The whole system is geared against the mother and child spending time together backed by economic thinking that everyone should work.

Feminist thinking also promotes the concept that liberated women should work and enjoy themselves, and that the idea of a stay at home mom looking after children is viewed as evil.

The mom highlighted in the example is nothing really special other than she can afford to do what she does. I am sure a lot of women are envious of that mom.

  5. Maybe she should a better mother in just being able to provide stability for her son.

But on the other hand, that is her and her child. You should be minding your own business.
