  1. I think it is important to honor family ties and it will be a name of great pride for her as she grows up.

No name comes without problems.  Kids can be mean and will find a way to tease if they are going to no matter what the name.  A child's name should have a history that means something.

The really important thing is what do you think about it and how important is it to you to honor your partner's feelings in the matter?

  2. If she lives in the US, she'll be pronouncing and spelling it for her whole life. Don't think it's very pretty.

  3. I think its unusual, pretty, and unique,I've learned something today, thank you, Manar is just right for your daughter, because she is a special gift from God,and surname is just as pretty.Congratulations!!! On your birth of your little girl early!

  4. to be really honest i dont like the name it sounds made up sorry

  5. Poor girl i say.

  6. I think you should call her "Noor."  Noor is a beautiful name meaning "light"-- it doesn't have any of the unfortunate close pronunciations that others mentioned, and it has part of his sister's name in her name.

I have taught some beautiful girls named Noor.

  7. Sorry, but I don't like it at all.

  8. I love Arabic names and I think this is nice.  It has a lovely meaning and goes well with your surname.  Plus, you can nickname her Mannie while she is little and it won't be too common. Good choice.

  9. I've never heard of that around here but it may be common in the UK. That is all up to you.
