What do u think wanderlei silva could've done differently to win that fight with chuck liddell?

HE COULD HAVE BEEN WANDERLEI SILVA. thats what he could of done better like he did last night he was a savage i seriously think that fight was great fight but that wasnt Wanderlei that was some guy that hadnt fought in a year and had his flow taken away.. he could of worked the clinh game with those brutal knees leg kicks but he wanted to give everybody what a they wanted and they wanted a brawl so he gave it to you ppl and ppl now criticize him for that i beleive thats BS.... SO Far PRIDE are the ones dominating the wightclasses  with Heavyweight Light Heavy, and Middle all the other pride memeber are goin through the same thing coming back with more than a year fighting you loose some of what you had

i think the first guy is right,,,, look at the Pride guys UFC fights,,,, the Rua brothers are a joke,,,Crocop got whooped,,, only Jackson and Silva(spider) have carried over there dominance so far,,,,Wanderlei is a monster and will be fine,,, Chuck is Chuck,,,, thats what he duz,,, Pride fighters dont have the ropes to use for stopages and stuff anymore(look at the Pride fights,,they ALL did it) and get exited in the cage i think,,,,but the good ones will/have calm down and get back to great fighting

It was a closer fight then people think,  he had Chuck in trouble a few times and knocked him down with punches.  If Pride rules were in affect he could have ended that fight with soccer kicks,  but the UFC is different and the rules favor Chuck with his superior boxing skills.  Nothing to be ashamed of in a decision loss to Chuck Liddell,  they are both all time greats.   Its hard for me to say maybe Wanderlei should have tried to utilized his Muay Thai clinch more in that fight because Liddell is also a Muay Thai guy and he knows what to do to counter that.  When those guys fight anything can happen.

I think he could have tried to force the action a bit more. I think he had the right idea not to attack the way he usually did in pride because thats what Chuck wants, and is always trying to set you up for haymakers. But he does not have the reach to keep fighting at that distance the whole night.

   I think he may have learned his lesson last night because as soon as he saw a hole against Jardine he exploded! And he never quite did that against Chuck... And he still caught him with some impressive punches!

Chuck is just a bad match up for Wanderlei.  To win, I think Silva would have to get Liddell backing up into the cage and get into the clinch with him.  Liddell's long arms wouldn't help him in close quarters, and Silva's has a vicious clinch.  But then again, getting inside on  Liddell is quite a task.
