The present chances seem to be good, and in "God we trust". I wish I could be 100% sure and I have doubts that we will not survive much longer.

Man will not survive a third world war but the earth will. This is the same thing as far as we are concerned, because there will be nobody around to be aware of the world at all.

That is all except for the cockroaches, who are insensitive to the radiation of nuclear energy release, so if your re-incarnated soul becomes an very intelligent cockroach, then you will still have a chance to determine that your world is still there.

I think that in 2012 Jesus will resurrect himself. People will give him so much attention that Chuck Norris will become enraged. The two will do battle for 6 days, 5 hours, 5 minutes, and 59 seconds, and on the 6 minute, in the 6th hour, on the 6th day, their fists will both collide creating a void in the space-time continuum, ending all that is, was, and ever will be!

it will be due to global warming, which cause more natural disasters, kill more people, wipe out fields, disrupt food supply in the world, then people who do not have enough food will fight each other and start a world war 3 which eventually kill more people especially with use of nuclear weapons. the radiation remains on earth for many years and all the living things are wiped out due to increased cancer rate. there will be a few human left on earth and they will continue to evolve.

meanwhile, another specie takes over the world and they develop better technology than humans. human revert back to the ancient caveman way of life. after many many many years, the sun burns out and the heat kills the entire solar system. the end =)

I think that global warming will have devastating effects on humanity but nothing like "The Day After Tomorrow" will happen even in our wildest dreams, maybe another devastating tsunami but that's it.

The nearest asteroid impact to earth is a 1 in 300 chance last i heard but that is way too close for even me tho but i've heard some convincing technology that would be able to eliminate the threat almost completely so i think we are safe.

A World War 3 would be the scariest thing ever but i hop russia is on our side b/c they are the only ones that could have a real nuclear fight with us but i believe that humanity would not alow that to happen to a end of the world scale. North Korea could pop maybe 5 at most off but most nations have highly sophisticated interceptor tech. so we are mostly safe, if not i'm moving to upstate n.y., no one cares about that place.

A Global disease or plauge is the most plausible method of human extinction b/c no matter what we wont be able to find a cure fast enough to save the millions that will die.

A wild shot would be the creation of artificial intelligence. A biological creation would be an abomination but not particuarly dangerous but a machine A.I. would be able to control the world's technology which would **** us.

I think God will have to stop it when the children of the world are corrupted and suffering deeply and our governments can end it at anytime and have had that capability since 1945. as more and more nations get bombs the worse our situation gets, I dont see any reason why it won't end soon . i don't think we;d be invovlved in a "spiritual " war in the middle east(bible) and israel and iran. at this time.. getting closer to 2012, i don't think we'll even make it that long, the way were acting ((((((by the way, my friend told me about a kid that she takes care of at pre-school,his dad killed his whole family and then commited suicide and thats really bad and physco)))))) i wouldn't be shocked if the world as we know it ends soon...i wish it wouldn't

I believe we will find a way to separate hydrogen & oxygen from water and just about everyone will get in on it. Think about it, you could run your entire house on water. Your car, you could drive anywhere on the water you flush down the toilet. Wow!!! We wouldn't run out of energy for a long time and if & when we did I'd be long gone. But we would run out sooner or later and then this place will be worthless. Even those looking into space with the Hubble Telescope can't find any water and they can see places we wouldn't get to in a 1000 years. This is what will end this planet and Bush said hydrogen will be the next big energy and he said it will be here in 10 years!
