  1. The modern definition of artificial intelligence (or AI) is "the study and design of intelligent agents" where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions which maximizes its chances of success. The term artificial intelligence is also used to describe a property of machines or programs: the intelligence that the system demonstrates.

AI research uses tools and insights from many fields, including computer science, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, cognitive science, linguistics, operations research, economics, control theory, probability, optimization and logic.

  2. It depends on what you mean by ai. Pac-man ai is very simple. Tic Tac Toe is a little more complex. Chess is a lot more complex and a lot harder to write. But what do they all have in common? Arrays. Just some math and reading/writing to arrays. But AI that acts like human intelligence is much more complicated and doesn't work on a couple of math functions. We have to undestand conscience in order to make living ai.

  3. i dont want to give you an artificial answer so i will stick to superficial

  4. AI can accurately mimic human behavior, but I don't know how any AI could ever reach the sophistication of the human mind.  I'm probably wrong about that one, but my ignorance makes me unable to see how anything resembling AI could synthesize thought and emotion.

What creator are you talking about?  Our parents, our culture, nature?  I don't think any of them planned on this, but it's a natural continuation of our progress.
