  11. Dear Tala Tay,

A Vegan's diet is limited to anything that was not ever in contact with an animal. For example a Vegan could not drink milk, even though no animal was killed in order to obtain the milk. Vegans can eat breads, Juices, Fruits, Vegetables and Tofu, etc.

    Thank you for reading this.

  12. We eat fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, flowers*, fungi* and oils and all the myriad things that can be made from them.

If you're the least bit creative it's not limiting at all.  Tonight I am making potato-spinach enchiladas with homemade roasted chile enchilada sauce and serving them with chipotle lime black beans and mexican rice.  Sound like twigs and dust?

*Don't laugh, you eat them, too.

  31. Beans, rice, and other combinations of things that make up "complete" protiens. Lots of fiber! Nuts and nut butters are great, also.  It is getting a little easier to eat out if you are a vegan, but it can still be a challenge. Of course the obvious would be lots of raw veggies. In the winter you can make alot of wonderful soups with leeks and root vegetables. Sprouts are delicious and add "crunch" to all sorts of things. It is very important to get enough iron from foods like raisins. The tendency towards becoming anemic is higher in people who do not eat meat. Hope this gives you a little to go on!.
