What do we NEED Men for? Men & Women please answer.?

I hear a lot of women say that they don't need a man for anything. But when I think to myself, it seems that there are many things that we DO need men for. I don't believe those women when they say that. It seems like they're talking out of pain.

But if you have a differing opinion, I'm open to hear it. I'm not trying to judge anyone for their opinion, just trying to see another's point of view.

Men WORK this world, how can a woman who work FOR her world and earn a living assume she dont need men?  If men dont make it possible for her to earn a living (like in a war affected place), she can do nothing, but offer herself as a prostitute to earn a living.

Well...believe it or not, I don't need it. I love them...  I love my friends, my brother, my boyfriend, my teachers and my collegues (the good ones).

I say sometimes that i hate women and i dont need them because of the trribel pain and agony caused by one woman.

You are right there lady but these spells of pain can be triggered by what someone might say to throw a flashback or you see somethin that reminds you of what has happened to you.

But time i suppose is the biggest healer and i know this deep down that one day i will meet that lady and then i wont be in pain and make such silly generalizations.

No gender can be represented by the fraction within it.

I relized this after my barrage of questions which were have to admit offensive and disrespect the spirit of GWS which i myself have beleived in so long.

We need both men and women. There are reasons why men dominate certain occupations and women dominate others. Without men of course only lesbians would find love, but there would be fewer musicians and engineers, smaller armed forces, hardly any films or TV programmes, I could really go on for ever.

i don't need a man for financial support.  i learned that for myself awhile ago. having a man in my life doesn't make my life. instead, it enhances it (and i'm speaking through experience). but i  definitely like a man around when it comes to electronics cuz i have a hard time figuring that s**t out! -lol

The vast majority of the inventions and technological advancements that are practical to the human race were created/invented by men.

Men built this world. Men make the world go round and ticking.  Men are also father, brother, uncle, son and nephew.  

Plain and simple, without men there is no world :-)

Well for sexual pleasure the v****a/clitoris  has many more "pleasure/sensitivity points" than a man's p***s. As mentioned in the Eve Ensler play, "The v****a Monologues." So, woman could just have s*x with other woman and probably be pleasured more than men could. At least that's what is going on "The L Word" on Show time TV.

The argument of men are needed to be mechanics, plumbers, carpenters is moot because when the men went to World War II, Rosie the Riveter and many women took over the work that men did and learned the functions of auto mechanics, etc. Women can learn any mechanical trade as a man does.

Women could be artificially inseminated if they had male sperm donors and have kids without male presence. Other than the sperm donations to have more children, that's really about it. Sadly true.

Go visit a jail, and ask how many of the inmates grew up without a father.  Compare that figure to the number of people in society who've grown up without a father.  You'll definitely find some clues.

Fixing things, making the children behave themselves, making me behave myself, scaring away burglars, lifting heavy things, showing my sons how to make things and how things work, going sailing, and of course making love.  All those are things I need my husband for.

I wouldn't use the word "need" because it denotes a lack of control.  If you "need" something you will go after it at all costs, and accept the nearest substitute.

So I would say that a I desire a man.  Obviously for s*x, but also for companionship, and as a helpmate to make life easier and better.  

Often I find that when I date men they make my life more complicated, so I break up with them.  I require that the man bring something to my life that makes the quality of my life better.  I am willing to do the same for him, but I am not willing to be degraded or diminished due to an uncontrollable need.

We need men to do all the things that women can't or won't do. There are alot of things that women can't or won't do. Most women don't become mechanics, garbage collectors, military personnel (true - the vast majority of military people are men), machinists, etc., and yet those are all vital jobs in our society. We need men to do those things. We need their physical strength.

More importantly, though, we need men to be fathers. I can be a great mom but I can never be a father or replace my children's father. They provide things for our kids that we can't. Without their influence our children suffer.

We also need men to help temper our tendency to be controlled by our emotions. Their logic counters our feeling beautifully.

I need my man, I need my father, I need my brother. Men are important and I need them in my life. There's nothing shameful about it. It doesn't make us weak.

this is going to sound brutal but.... when a two girls are friends and one wants to talk they talk right? sure okay now when one starts to ***** about one of her friends and the other one doesn't want to hear it she just won't pick up. BUT! where can a women talk and be heard? Go to her man in her life. she talks about b*****s to him even though he might not want to hear it he still wants to make her happy. Now sure friends want to make friends happy but some times girls just don't give a ****. neither do guys either it' happens for both sexes.  but that is pretty much why women need men and men need women. just to know that someone is there for you at any time even when your friends leave you.

Men and women are designed to complement each other, so I think both genders need the other. Apart from needing a man to have children naturally and to be a father for those children, I also need his protective instincts, logical abilites, sense of adventure and physcial strength. I wouldn't like to imagine a world with no men. :)

Personally, I don't NEED a man. I don't want babies and that's the only thing I'd NEED a man for. However, I like my man and I'm very happy having him around :-)

I think that when a smart, intelligent woman says she doesn't "need" a man, she means that she doesn't need a man to make her complete because she is independent and has self worth. This kind of woman can decide if she wants a man in her life. "Needing" a man in your life shows desperation and self deprivation. Personally, I think all of us "want" someone in our lives.
