What do we need to give up for world peace?

what do you think you would need to change, in both a personal sense and also your country you live in, in terms of possessions and lifestyle, in order to have world peace?

We need to put aside our petty differences, stop using weapons for destruction, stop trying to change the rest of the world, and stop doing things for greed. I'm sure there are others things, HUNDREDS of other things, but this is all I got.

For us to have World Peace we would have to overthrow all forms of government we have today.

Its obious that the governments dont work towards peace but towards money, personal benefits, power, etc.

In a personal level, everyone would have to give up their ego, desires, greediness........everyone would have to find a way to live in a more simple way of life.

We need to give up ego and a sense of entitlement. We need to give up ethnocentric beliefs and give up our selfious lifestyles.

. . . . . ego and control! Conflict, any conflict results from one's desire to control. The answer is pretty simple but virtually impossible in practice, something all religions preach. . . .

We need to stop hating. There is so much hate in the world...if that stopped, if people could only love, there would be peace. And it would be absolutely wonderful.

You will start loving your neighbour, and forget the need for greed and all the world will become one.

World Peace can never be.  There can be no peace without war and no war without peace.

Good and evil must balance, a balance between the 2 forces must be maintained.  If the scales of balance lean more towards one than the other, an event will take place to maintain that balance.  The balance between good and evil will always exist, and is part of what makes the world go round.  One can't exist without the other.

Essentially, you'd have to give up human nature. As long as mankind is on this earth, there will be warfare. Its human nature.
