What do wear, bring and do on the first day of High School?

Question

I'm entering High School this year and I'm super scared. I have no idea what to bring on the first day or where to go. They don;t send us our schedules until the week before school and I have no idea what to wear either. I'm going shopping at Hollister Aeropostale and American Eagle so please send me some cute links from those sites I really need some survival skills for High School.

my first piece of advice - breathe! it'll be okay!!! you will make it through your first day, and by the end of the week, you'll have it all down.

ok, don't overstress about your first day outfit. it will make an impression, but a few weeks later, no one will remember what you wore anyway. the first day, most of the other freshmen are focusing on the same things as you. wear something cute, in but not too in, and something you feel comfortable in.

on the first day of school, all you really need to bring is a folder with pockets. put a little loose leaf in there, and have a pen or pencil to write with.

if your school has an oreintation or back-to-school night, go to that. take your schedule with you. practice opening your lcoker, and walk to all your classrooms so you have an idea of where they are all at.

at my school, the first day schedule goes like this. in the morning, only the freshman get there at the beginning of the day. they had us all sit in the cafeteria after we put any c**p in our locker. we sat with our friends, then they split us in smaller groups, and the counselors showed us the cafeeteria, the gym, the field, office, etc. then we all returned to the cafeteria for the rules. boring! lol! then we all went to our classes for ten minutes, so we got to pretty much walk through our shedule. then we ate lunch, the upperclassmen came, and we all went through the schedule of our classes for 20 minutes each.

maybe your school does something like this? it helped, cause the classes were short, and we got to find our way around twice.

Wear your favorite clothes! Make yourself comfortable, yet your best you can be!  Make your clothes resemble you and memorable!

As for supplies, just bring a pen and notebook, as they will explain what you will need...

As where to go, that, you will have to kno on your own, but I'm SURE they will tell you

My school had freshmen arrive 2 hours earlier than the others, to give us a heads-up...(lockers, small tour, rules, etc)

Just bring a pen, pencil, paper and a binder because all of your classes will give you a syllabus as to what you may need. You don't want to go out and buy all of this stuff and turn around and don't use them.

You will be fine! Just relax.

everything there is cheap and

little kidish.
