  1. Wind turbines convert wind energy into elecrtrical energy. This electrical energy can be used to operate any instrument working on electricity.

  2. wind turbines dont power anything. they dont work they just stand there. if the wind is blowing more than 47 mph then they are turned af for safety reasons. there power is so unperdictable so they are always backed up by fossil fuel and neaculer fuel  so `they dont earn there stay`. if you are now wondering wind turbines are still being built its because they are a great profitable investment. i my only be 11(almost 12) but i know this beacse i looked under the facts that are given to you such as they will help stop globel warming or they will power a town, that means turn a kettle on. so to answer your question they dont power anything.

  3. It depends on the turbine.  Early day turbines and windmills simply converted the wind energy into mechanical energy which was then used to operate machinery.  You'll find a lot of farms out in the mid-west still use small wind turbines to pump water from wells.

Modern day wind turbines, as mentioned, convert the wind into electricity.  The electricity then enters the power grid.  So in the end, wind turbines can power anything that uses electricity.

  4. some of the things that use electricity
