What do women do for tampons in jail? My guess is they use tampons. They are not exactly contraband. What do you think they will do...use them to pick locks or poke the guards into submission?

A tampon is worth 5 cigarettes.  Since they come in plastic containers, they are easily smuggled in inside cakes and make for viable currency behind bars.

Well, tampons would be available, I'm assuming? as an option, other than a maxi pad. I never preferred them personally..for all we know they could have a machine to buy them from, but I bet it's something offered freely to those in need. I watch these Reality Jail shows on Tuesday night?,  I wonder if that kinda issue will ever come up..? lol..
