The things I keep in my purse include a 2 brick's, tissues, pads, money, makeup, mints/gum, keys, pens and small notepad, lotion, candy, my phone and Mace. And a small gun (my father wants me to carry one)

I cleaned out my purse the other day and it had a Christmas card from 3 years ago(I checked the date) and money I never knew I possessed. (100 $ hidden in the bottom)

Hmm, let's see. The obvious stuff like cash, i.d., debit cards, and so forth. Brush, lipstick, lip gloss, dental floss, band-aids, mints, Godiva chocolate balls, hand sanitizer, cell phone, inhaler, pens, back-up cd from work, self-defense key chain (shaped like a cat head), a shopping list for WalMart, and a little plastic alien (don't ask).

Nothing.  I'm a wallet person, myself - cash, library card, ID.  Just the basics.  

I've never found any need to haul around most of the "stuff" that ends up in women's purses.

It varies from woman to woman, if they still carry a purse.  I carry identity documents, my poker roll of $5000 cash. address book, checkbook, my passport and local travel papers in a zip-lock bag, a fancy little silver antique coin purse, plum lipstick, a brush, sunglasses in a case, a magnifying glass in a velvet whiskey draw-string bag, a roll of duct tape, a silk scarf for my hair in wind, an antique wind-up pocket watch, a lapis lazuli lacquer Waterford pen, a tiny ivory Buddha / talisman I've had since birth, small toys to give away to random children, a Swiss Army knife, a US Army P-38 can opener on a ring with old grenade clip rings from special memories learning how to throw a grenade farther than like five feet . . . thumph . . . in front of me, a pink taser, a .38 Lady Taurus when I'm in the States and a fresh tatted lace crocheted-edged hanky every day that I make myself.
