Empty Abyss

Here I am, lost in this perilous territory; The realm of thought.

I wonder the dark depths of mind's eye; A cat prowling by the moon's sky.

Searching, for an absent memory; For what was not.

Oh, this stubborn mind! The curiosity that slaughtered the cat.

What would it have been; this tale untold of a life unlived in.

An unjust providence defined; At our fortold love it spat.

I am forever paind with your doom; For your 9 came too soon.

In my heart, hisses all but hate; Instead, a destitution to understand this fate.

You, child, will never bloom; To the pain of unknown, I must become immune.

There is no satisfaction to rescue me; All I have is a guess.

For your absence I will cry; For our lost love I will shout, why?

Where ther should be laughter there is silence; Where there should be love,

there is an empty abyss...Until we meet again, you I will always miss

  1. Considering poetry does that have rules, it's the expression of the poet, this is very good. I am not knowledgable of types of poetry, i feel they are not needed. This is very interesting and I appreciate you used words that were more than four letters long.

    Kudos, very emotional.

  2. That was an awesome poem.
