I doubt Avery will play well with Dallas. He wont be getting as much attention, and probably wont play with the same discipline he learned from playing on the same line with Shanahan.

i am pretty pissed about him playing for dallas. i am so mad that slather wouldn't resign him it was a stupid move. he was great for the rangers, he helped them so much look at their record with him and without him and look how much fans loved him. dallas is lucky they got a great player. i don't think that they are the most hated team now though. hating avery is just a cover up for secretly wanting him on their team. well i am glad the rangers won't be playing dallas a lot, only once because i know he will want to get back at slather and plus i just can't see him in a dallas uniform. dallas is going to improve a lot with sean avery.

Avery will put dallas over the top.  he can skate, score, hit and agitate opponents.  The Rangers will miss him BIG time.

I think it will work GREAT for both Avery and the Stars.  He used to live with Brett Hull, I thought I remember hearing that he is good friends with either Steve Ott or Brendan Morrow.  I don't remember who, (I remember this from when he played on the Wings, the Wings announcer always mentioned it), I just remember it was with a really annoying player on Dallas.  Or I could just be talking out of my @ss.

Either way, imagine a line of Avery, Morrow, and Ott.  Dallas fans would rejoice, other teams will cringe and weep at the thought.

To all of you Dallas fans who are skeptical about the "@ss" that is Sean Avery...  Soon you will learn to appreciate his game.  He only played a minimal role in Detroit, but I loved every minute of it.  You guys love Brendan Morrow, well get ready for a more annoying version.  Annoying to the other team that is.  Also I think he got the 200 PIM seasons out of his system when he was in LA.

I'm pissed he didn't resign with the Rangers, we loved him here.  But, if he had to go, I'm glad he went out west.

I wish him the best of luck... he is truly a unique player and brings his all every game.  Even if you despise him, you can't argue that.

No... I'd say Toronto is probably the most hated team.  People can hate Avery without hating his team.

nah...... rangers still have that title, don't worry..... lol, but I'm not sure Avery will fit in well in Dallas, they could have gotten what they needed and not had to put up with the kind of pain he can be.

when i went onto the stars site and saw "avery signed with stars" i literally gasped and covered my mouth. i hate him and cant stand to see him skate alongside my dallas stars. i hope he gets traded soon because i wont be able to stand watching his antics. whether or not he's a good player doesnt matter, i hate his personality.

Avery is an ***, but Dallas is a great team.  I don't think the Stars are hated at all, but Avery's stupid behaviour may change this.  If he can stay under control, he should actually improve the team.
