  1. Here's a link that transposes another poster's. I don't think, it was predicted as stated. Thermal memory in the ocean can last as long as 10,000yrs, and is not a process readily understood.

  2. You mean that as summer ends and Fall hits the Southern Hemisphere, it gets colder, and ice expands?

    Amazing!!

  3. I think this pretty much says it all:

  4. I say it's an expected result, predicted several decades ago.

"In 1980 a New York University group reported that “the influence of deep sea thermal storage could delay the full value of temperature increment predicted by equilibrium models by 10 to 20 years” just between 1980 and 2000 A.D. (2)

The delay would not be the same everywhere. After all, the Southern Hemisphere is mostly ocean, whereas land occupies a good part of the Northern Hemisphere. A model constructed by Stephen Schneider and Thompson, highly simplified in modern terms but sophisticated for its time, suggested that the Southern Hemisphere would experience delays decades longer than the Northern. Schneider and Thompson warned that if people compared observations with what would be expected from a simple equilibrium model, “we may still be misled… in the decade A.D. 2000-2010.”

But don't let the facts get in the way.  They've never stopped you before!

  5. I do  not know where you get that false information, the Ant-arctic ice sheet is melting and shrinking!  Ant-arctic ships are landing closer to shore, and that is recorded scientific fact!  As well, the Arctic ice sheet has reduced by one-third!

The Arctic is completely over the ocean, so warmer air and water temperatures are more effective in melting the ice sheet.  The Ant-arctic is a continent, so its melt is slower, but never-the-less, as I said, the Ant-arctic is melting all around the fringes and the glaciers are becoming lubricated underneath by melt-off, posing a huge risk if the glaciers should slide off into the sea, which is what scientists presently are very worried about.

Belief: the acceptance of something without proof.

Fact: something proven and documented that anyone else with the proper facilities can investigate and find without fail to be accurate.

  6. Your my hero, Mr. NoBama!

  7. another right wing conspiracy, much like the moon landing, the NEOCON'S are shipping ice from all over the US to make Antarctica APPEAR to be frozen...it's actually much like Hawaii.

  8. There are a lot of studies that show Antartic ice is expanding.  The only studies that AGW believers are interested are the very few which support the idea that sea ice is shrinking.

For a lot of believers, the fact that a piece of ice broke off the Antartic is all the proof they need that AGW is real, even thought the process does occur naturally and much bigger pieces of ice have broken off in the past.

  9. And yet, every single day here you hear AGW lemmings talk about how the pole ice is vanishing. Unbelievable.

The amount of deliberate misinformation that is being spewed by the AGW alarmists is frightening. Keep up the good work.

LOL. Ron just proved my point.
