I'm British and I agree with what the article says . . . to a point; the Brits who choose to holiday at resorts like Ibiza constitute a certain class of tourist - they want all the sleaze of places like Blackpool (which is a tacky, common resort in the north west of England) but with guaranteed sunshine - the very reasons that German tourists choose the same destinations.

I lived in Rome for several years and the Germans were amongst the worst behaved tourists - rude, arrogant, demanding and ignorant. The Americans came a close second, by the way, who merely proved themselves to be philistines with absolutely no sense of history or culture.

Just the other day I saw something in our papers about how awful the Germans were. That didn't create a stink, now did it? Just 'cos the shoe is on the other foot now it's an issue? I don't care either way - you can't stereotype a nation - ANY nation!

Well, its true what they say unfortunately. The food sucks, too much public drunkeness etc.

The article was a bit shite though since it hints the compensation was due since there were a lot of germans. That doesnt seem to be the case. Its more to do with the fact that if everything was presented in german than it is a bit annoying and you should be compensated by the organiser if he didnt inform you about it. The family paid 4000 pounds for the holiday. That is a lot of money and you should get a real good service for that.

You cant however complain to meet a lot of foreigners on a holiday. Thats just stupid as h**l. Than go and make your holidays in your own country.

Quite a few Brits wouldn't want to go to the Costa del Sol either, because British tourists can be a pain in the ****. The article doesn't bother me in the slightest, because I happen to agree with most of it!

That said, you can always spot the German tourists on holiday too.... they're the ones who always manage to find a sun lounger on a crowded pool side, and have no qualms about walking completely naked around the resort!

I'm British and I'm with the Germans on this one. The majority of British abroad are shameful. I'm sure lots of people will choose to have a go at the Germans for this, but I think we need to look at ourselves and grow up.
