  1. It drives me nuts to see a toddler 12 months and up with a binky in their mouth

  2. I don't hate either.

I'm not sure why what other kids are doing would bother anyone. Unless they were robbing a store maybe...

  3. Pacifiers for sure. All a parent needs to do is take it away, and let them deal with being without it for a couple days, and they'll adjust and it's gone. Thumbs are a behavior that's a lot harder to modify.

  4. both is right break that kid of it, take the pacifiers and pitch them, thann they have this solution (not sure name) you put on nail bites fingers.. that wont hurt you but tastes awful..... get some of that

  5. I think a 4 year old sucking his fingers would be a bit silly, but I wouldn't "hate" either. That's the responsibility of the parent. I just know that I would try to wean my children off of either.

  6. Well, both can damage the child's teeth when it comes to them being straight and having an over-bite, but seeing as 4 year old with a pacifier makes me wonder what the parents are thinking let their child, who is soon to be starting school, suck on something so useless to them at their age, not to mention it aggravates me to know the parents are giving it to them to suck on.

  7. Paccies are not for 4 yr olds!

  8. Pacifier.  A thumb is part of their body, something they probably started sucking on their own.  A pacifier is something foreign, that someone else started them sucking on.  The person that gives it to them should remove it.........can't really remove a thumb.

  9. a pacifier....thats too old.

  10. Both !! At 4 years old they should be big  boy/girl

  11. pacifier..def. i hat it when i see kids walking around with binkys hangin out of their mouths and they are talking..it is so annoying..my daughter has been off a binky since she was 3 months old..thats such a terrible habitat to let kids stay on..thats just like seeing 4 or 5 year olds walking around drinking out of bottles.

  12. i'll go for fingers. i really dun like kids putting their hands in their mouth and sucking their fingers. they might start biting their nails too. it's a very bad habit.

  13. Definitely a pacifier

  14. A pacifier.  But i do cringe when  i see kids suck their fingers, I'm a germ nut and thats like nails on a chalk board to me.

  15. A pacifier should be non existant to a 4 year old

  16. pacifier because that parents can take that away, you can't cut off their finger, so it's out of the parents' hands.

  17. Definitely a pacifier! Because finger sucking it's hard to break the habit; giving your kid a pacifier is contributing to the habit!

You can't control what your kids do with their fingers, but you definitely shouldn't encourage it! (by giving them the tool to do it with!)

  18. The pacifier should be long gone by 4 years old  :)

  19. Pacifiers!  It's just plain laziness on the parents part to let it go that long.

Fingers are annoying too, but at least that stops when they start school because other kids will tease them about it if they don't.

Pacifiers are easier to get rid of though. You can throw them out. You can't do that with fingers.
