For some strange reason resulting to this just seems waaaay more disturbing than simple masturbation or even use of d****s. Could it be that these folks are actually trying to convince themselves that they are actually involved with another person, it just seems weird, though I am not trying to be judgemental.

Couple more years I wouldn't be surprised to see walking and talking(advanced AI) "Adult Dolls".

     To each there own I suppose.

    But for people to claim it is more weird then a d***o or pleasure sleeve(think that is what it's called, it is like an inverted d***o kind of device for guys inno) is missing a point.

Those devices lack emotional stimulation while I suspect some people(they make both male and female models of doll's) choose doll's for emotional reason's as well.

But who knows why people do things?

Some people are desperate, and I don't think masterbation is 'disturbing'....

Gotta realize not everyone has the POWER OF SEDUCTION and can talk to women, there are so many geeky, unattractive, and completely self-conscious people out there it's not like they can go "hey i'm horny and need some lovin...let me go talk to some random female and get it" Because it's either they're a pig and WILL get rejected or they just don't have the guts to do it.  So if they have $5,000 (that's the average price for those 'realdolls' which is insane but meh.) then they don't have to worry about those troubles and conveniently s***w something that strikingly resembles a real female.

I'd be kind of freaked out to have something that real looking in my house....my imagination would definitely get the best of me when if i start imagining seeing her move (guess i could never get drunk or do any drugs...).  But unfortunately there are people who just do NOT have the know how or ability to get their own companion....and would rather spend oodles of money to get off.  

If this was a means to help end prostitution personally i wouldnt' see a problem with it.....but as it stand it isn't....so to each their own.

The fact is, everyone is different.

I've never liked dolls (even the innocent kind kids are given to play with), so s3x toy dolls don't interest me at all, but for some people they are just the thing!

From your point of view, or the outlook of someone who doesn't like these dolls, sure it's easy to say 'disturbing' or whatever, but the fact is, the dolls are actually very popular so they are fulfilling the needs of many, many men around the world.

Because it's a less popular fetish or fantasy or whatever, makes it no 'better' than a hankering after silk stockings, or a wish to be handcuffed or any of the other slightly bizarre but much more acceptable practices people indulge in.

Generally, people need to be pretty careful about pointing fingers at others about 'weird' s3x play ~ how many of us would enjoy having our 'fun' examined by a bunch of people who enjoyed something else, and called nasty names?

If it's not abusive, or illegal, who cares what people do? Really?

Blow up dolls have been around for ages.  I find them a bit pathetic, but if a lonely man wants one for company I don't see any harm in it.  If he was someone who was married or in a relationship, then I would think it very weird.

There's a character in Florence King's novel 'When Sisterhood Was In Flower' who has been left a widow because her husband had a heart attack when his inflatable doll burst.  A very sad case.

I think it's just a form of masturbation (which is a normative human behaviour) so although I can understand why some might regard this as weird, I don't really see much a difference between using dolls for masturbation versus using d****s or any other device for auto eroticism.  I don't think this is pathologic in any way.

I actually watched a Real s*x episode on HBO a long time ago about the guy who makes these things. I think it's kind of creepy myself, but I guess it's better than going out and getting with someone and getting a disease or something.
