Do you think we are "old"? Do you think we are out of touch? Or do you think we have it all together and cant wait to be our age? Do you feel like you can relate to us? Do you feel like we dont understand you?

Just wondering b/c I was young once and I cant remember what I thought of those in my current age group...

  1. we realize you were young once, but times have changed,

so we do think you are out of date and what not because of that

  2. i think 75 is old!

  3. As a teenager, I think ages 30-35 year old adults are not old, but older than me. Plus, I am just glad i'm a teen right now. I want to enjoy being a teen rather than being a 30-35 year old

  4. I can remember what i thought about that age when i was young..

i felt like i couldnt talk to you because u wouldnt understand the way i was feeling

i didnt really feel u were old just someone that wouldnt understand what i was going through or thinking.

  5. No...My favorite cousin is 35.

  6. Kalyssa S said it perfectly

    ;DD

  7. no i dont think thats old. its the way someone acts that makes them seem old or more mature and i dont steriotyp people soo i wud hav to no u before i could decide whether i fort u wer old or not.:) 13 yr old

  8. **** yes ur old.

no i dont wanna ever be ur age

no i cant relate to u one bit

no u dont understand us BECUZ U CANT REMEMBER!!!

  9. Well my parents are older, so I don't consider age 30-35 old.  I do feel like you sometimes don't understand us because it has been 12-17 years since you guys were teens.  Those are my thoughts on that age group.

  10. They are people. I am twenty and I dated a 30-year-old. They have so much more to offer than guys who are under 20. Alot more mature(most of the time) and have a better head on their shoulders.

  11. Do I think 30-35 year olds are "old"?    Of course not

Out of touch?     It really depends, maybe yes, maybe no

Personally I can't wait to be in my 30's because I'll be done University by then.

Do I feel like I can relate to people in their 30's? Not really

I feel like 30-35 year olds understand adolescents because they are sort of in between acting like and adult and a teenager.

  12. Well thirty-thirty-five is NOT old in my book. I think most of the people in that range are either continuing to figure out what they want to do in their life or finally settling down. I am looking forward to being that age, but I don't want it to come sooner than i want it. I think teenage years are GREAT. I think the younger the more you understand our age group, because you can remember.

  13. Hmm.. Here's what I think.

Do you think we are "old"? Yeah.

Do you think we are out of touch? Getting there.

Or do you think we have it all together and cant wait to be our age? No. You guys are a wreck.

Do you feel like you can relate to us? Not one bit.

Do you feel like we dont understand you? Yeah.

    Happy??

  14. i dont think its that old. i dont think it really matters. Im 14 and people that age are positive role models, depending on that person. I sometimes feel the need to talk about important stuff like life in general, or just like random subjects such as miley cyrus, with older relatives or my teacher/friends parents. Dont feel awkward around teens because of your age. but dont be all in their face unless you are invited to be. :D

  15. I think Kalyssa S. was being a little snotty and most of the teens I know don't have that attitude - or at least don't seem to - towards that age group. A lot of my friends are adults, some of which are in that age group, and they are not out of touch at all. Have you ever heard the saying "Hindsight is 20/20?" While they may not remember the daily ups and downs of being a teenager so much they have a lot of stories and advice that can give teenagers perspective, if you bother to listen. So out of touch? In most cases, no.

I'll admit I could definately WAIT to be 35, but that's because I'm excited to be starting high school, going to college, starting a family, etc. I want to enjoy my youth, my education and the beginning of adulthood for a long time. Your age group is the time when you're losing the last of that kid streak left over from childhood and settling down into the adult world.

As for the part about relating...

I think, to be honest, adults actually tend to relate to us teens better than other teenagres do. Adults have more experience and they tend to be less self - focused and more caring.

I hope this helps answer your questions. :)

Of course there are many different attitudes ranging from people who want to knock all 30-35 year olds off the face of the planet to people who are absolutely awe inspired by them. Don't let it bother you if some stuck - up teenager thinks of people your age as idiots. THEY are the idiot.
