  1. She's being investigated because that's hardball politics.  Alaska's spending $100k to keep this sound bite alive.  It's old news.

When reformers take on waste and corruption ... enemies accumulate...  friends forget and fade...

  2. they all have to be investigated, its part of the process

  3. She is not being investigated, where do you people get this stuff???

  4. Have faith in Jesus and vote Obama.

    I don't trust Sarah Palin.

I feel more safe under Joe Biden.

    God Bless America.

  5. I think she has issues, from a Ms.. Idaho? to wife of fisherman, to governor, really aggressive... and now to fire her :enemy" using her power...? huh? ... btw, I cannot vote

  6. All I saw was she fired someone else for ethical violations.  Doesn't sound like she did anything else.

  7. Sounds like it may be a pro forma investigation because she had a trooper relieved from duty.  They guy is her former brother in law.  Most reports suggest the firing was not unwarranted.  I wouldn't expect much to come of it from what I've heard so far.

I think it will be more concerning that most of her political experience comes from service in a town with just 6,700 people. She only has 18 months of gubernatorial experience.

  8. Abuse of power - it seems to be a Republican thing

  9. Palin has a shaky time with her party officials. Her selection by McCain will not sit well with party elders in the state.

She also has some serious concerns of potential fraud/conflict of interests with oil and gas businesses which will come to haunt her.

  10. She is under investigation for possible misuse of power in the firing of a government employee who also happens to be her sister's estranged husband.  There is also something about an oil deal that one Alaska congressman allegedly got  a pay off for.

  11. For firing the guy who divorced her sister.

  12. For trying to have an abusive relative's husband fired.

  13. Allegation of "Abuse of Power"

    quote

"She has an ethical issue as well. Alaska lawmakers are investigating whether Palin abused her power in firing a public safety commissioner. Lawmakers say they want to know whether Palin was mad at the commissioner for not firing an Alaska state trooper who went through a messy divorce and ongoing child custody battles with Palin's sister."

    end quote

I don't know if this will blow up in her face.  I actually think it will blow over.  However, critics can say that she has shown no restraint in making decisions based on personal emotion rather than objectivity.  I'm not saying that but it is out there to say. I am surprised that a woman with this type of scandal hanging over her was chosen by McCain but I'm sure he is confident in her innocence or he wouldn't have chosen her.  The question is whether the voters and the media that reports the story are convinced.
