  1. This is what I usually bring:

    My purse of course..

and then I bring a little backpack or small duffel bag and usually leave it in the car.. I bring:

Snacks: usually chips, trail mix, chocolate, mints

I also bring a little pillow and blanket, in case i fall asleep

    Sunglasses

    Hat

    Bottled water

    Book/magazines

    My Ipod

    Journal

    Pen

Extra tank top just in case

    Nice light sweater

    Make-up: gloss, face powder

    Good luck and have fun!

  2. Clothes in layers.  Make sure you know what kind of weather you will be in.

Swimsuit if you plan on going swimming

    Dress up Clothes if needed

    Camera w/ charger

    Cell phone charger

Girl Stuff - Makeup, Hair Dryer, Bathroom essentials, etc

    Q-tips

    Reading Material

    Shoes for all occasions

  3. First of all, check the weather where you are going.  Use www.weather.com and you can request a 10 day forecast for your destination.  It also tells you, by category, (like Home & Family or Sports & Recreation) what the weather will be like for your planned activities.

Second, pack clothes in layers...tanks, t-shirts, a cardigan that goes with everything.  Also, if you plan to go out, take clothes to look good someplace that could be fancy.

Third, things you don't want to be without:

-digital camera, batteries and memory card

-iPod, cord that will work in the car for the drive AND docking station to listen to at your destination. (if you don't have that...lots of CD's, but in a carry case, not in their hard plastic shells)

-CHAPSTICK (believe me, you'll thank me later)

-put anything liquid that might open in your bag inside a Ziploc bag.  There is nothing nastier than lotion on all your clothes, or an open nail polish.

-that said...lotion, if you have sensitive skin...sometimes hotel lotions are more drying than soothing.

-prescriptions, in original bottles, if you have them.

-healthy things to snack on:  granola bars, dried fruit, nuts.  It won't zap your energy by stopping for fast food along the way.

And finally, and most importantly, plan to have a blast on your trip!!!
