  1. To teach the basic fundamentals to learning.  Such as self esteem, independence, co-operation, initiative, language, literacy, self control, early math and letter skills, expression of emotions and feelings. I once heard Early Childhood teaching described as being the job that should have the highest salary.  After all  we are Air traffic controllers, (telling children were to go all day), Doctors, (fixing boo, boos), Lawyers, (who had it first), and Politicians, (lobbying for more supplies).

  2. TO TEACH IN AN ENTERTAINING WAY....ENCOURAGE A CHILD..AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE SAFE AT ALL TIMES

  3. Babysitter.

  4. 1)  Preparing an environment for the child to learn in.

    2)  Observing the child.  This is critical, but often forgotten.

    3)  Introduce the materials.

    4)  Assisting when **needed**  (Key word.  Many assist when the child is struggling.  That's the worse time to jump in usually.  If they're struggling, they're trying to get it).

    My 2 cents!
