  1. Who really cares anymore....

  2. "Man, you gonna f**k up the whole neighbourhood and put a brother in the white house."

  3. At this juncture it looks like for the Democrats to win, they will need to elect a joint Obama-Hilary ticket. I'm not sure either would settle for the veep spot, but as the race lengthens people are becoming more attached. With older Dem voters, women and Hispanics you have to take race into account. Many of them would potentially vote for McCain if Obama won or stay home disappointed.

On the other end you have blacks, young people and intellectuals who love Obama and despise Clinton. If he doesn't get on the ticket, they're going to raise h**l and probably just stay home.

Depending on the situation Bloomberg, the mayor of NYC, could jump in depending on what happens at the DNC. One thing is certain though, the Democratic nominee WILL be chosen at the DNC short of one or the other conceding. It will most likely be a shady backroom deal type thing. If Hilary comes out the winner despite not winning the delegate count or the popular vote (she would have to get 60% of the vote in all remaining primaries/caucuses), it will reek or corruption and turn many voters away from the Democrats.

Also depends on who Mr. McCain picks for his running mate. He needs to walk a fine line between pissing off his "base" (his base is actually moderates, not the religious nutbags who c**p on the Constitution in the name of "security") and moderates. He needs to appoint someone young for sure, but if he appointed a moderate Dem he may be unstoppable (think Joe Lieberman though Lieberman has denied he is interested). If he goes for someone like George Allen he could get crazy conservatives to vote in mass, but could turn off moderates and independents.

WAY too many variables for anyone to make a definitive conclusion. Hilary probably cannot beat McCain but many feel she would be better at getting things done (despite her actually having less experience than Obama). Obama is almost a shoe-in if he wins the nomination, but that could change if there is a terrorist attack or some international security issue.

  4. I know one thing.  A large group of people will be unhappy.

  5. Nothing good.

I would bet my car (which I love very much) that it won't be a Republican, though, I think the majority of people have made it clear that they want a Democrat in this time around, and that's just how it usually works, one party is in the White House for 8 years and messes everything up so people tend to go for someone of the opposite party next time around to mess it up in a different way.

  6. I like Tim's assessment of the situation.  thoughtful and well made.

  7. Obama wants to turn white, and he promised the black woman (dont know her name but she;'s in the American gov too) he promised her they will get married, and she's waiting for him,, she told him to bring MCcan (or whatever his name is)'s heart on a plate and if they win,, they will go on a honeymoon in Africa

  8. Its very difficult to tell at the moment, not until the Democratic candidate is revealed at least.

Then, unfortunately the US electorate have to get past the negative campaigning (by both sides, media and interested parties) in order to get a grasp of who they want to represent them to the world.

  9. the election will be Obama vs. McCain and I believe that the American people will elect McCain.  It will be very close as have the past few elections, but the nation will continue its trend of electing republicans to the White House

  10. I think the longer the contest for the Democratic nomination goes the more likely that McCain will win. The best bet for the Democrats is a Obama/Clinton ticket but I don't think that will happen because both candidates egos are too big. Neither Clinton or Obama want to play a secondary role to the other. In the meantime while Clinton and Obama are spending campaign contributions trying to beat each other. McCain will be banking campaign contributions and preparing a strategy to win in November. I think that gives McCain a huge advantage going into the Presidential election this fall.

  11. i think obama will win but the clintons will steal or take it in some underhanded way just like bush  did it to gore.

  12. The First Black Man
