My mom's best friend is a billionaire. Her son has everything in the world he could ever possibly want (likely). He's turning 13, and we are attending his Barmitzvah. What kind of gift should we get him? I'm looking for gifts in the $200-400 range.

I'm not looking for a "gift card" suggestion.

Thanks.

  1. name a star after him.sponsor a pet in his name

  2. A bunch of helium balloons, large enough to give him a bit of air time and show off in front of his friends

  3. Get hime a Wii and some games

  4. Since he has everything that he wants, and money is not an object, then I suggest that you donate an affordable amount in this persons name to a charity of choice.  Does he enjoy anything such as animals, you could donate to the local zoo, or animal shelter.

  5. Becoming bar mitzvah is a rite of passage signifying adulthood within the Jewish community.

He doesn't "need" you to get him anything.

If you must, make a donation to a charity in honor of the occasion.  JNF plants trees in Israel, and you can have a tree, or a grove of trees, planted in his honor.

A book on Judaism is also nice.

  6. d**n... that's hard.... if he got everything he wants then u should buy him an expensive gift card..... that's all i can think of. or give him like a man bracelet or something idk

  7. How about A ticket to Six Flags or some amusement park.

  8. I've attended many Bar Mitzvah's for many kids--many wealthy.

Most of the time we give a Savings Bond or money.

Find out if he has an ipod. I know you didn't want to give him a gift card, but how cool would it be for him  to download $200 worth of movies, music from Itunes!

I'm also a fan of www.amazon.com gifts. In fact, I give this to my nephews every year and they can buy exactly what they want.

  9. If he's got everything he could ever want then maybe you could buy him something simple?  It would be unique, and it doesn't matter how rich a kid is, the good old stuff is still a favourite!

Hmmm... Now I have to think of an example!  c**p!  I can't think of one!

    Remote controlled airplane?  Something gadgety.

Don't feel pressure to buy something overly expensive just because they are rich.  Wealthy or not, the kid still needs to learn that it is the thought that counts, and it is better to give than to receive.

Ooh!  There you go, donate to a charity in his name!  Or, you could adopt a star in his name - although that's probably more of a "girlie" present.

  10. Wow a billionaire.Lol . Anyways ....

How about jsut a cool toy or somthing you saw that is unique and not too popular but is very fun.

Has there been anything that he wants but parents jsut say no? Like because he wont take care of it or somthing that only you or his parents dont know about.

Good luck! Just go to the mall and look around trying to find somthign unique and just great.

  11. A small pet tortoise

  12. when my brother was 13 he had this gas powered remote controlled car thing it cost like $200. it's not like little kids toy or anything, idk how to explain it but it was kinda cool. he spent a ton of time working on it. it was almost like a go cart but much smaller.

  13. $200 discipline.

  14. I would tell him you would pay for him to go to a camp of his choice. for instance if he like soccer tell him you'll pay for him to go to soccer camp. that's all i could think of.

  15. Can you make a scrapbook of memories of your mother and his mother when they were younger, write in funny things that they used to do. Also invite him to come to your place on his next vacation and show him things in your area that he doesn't see in his state.

  16. get him something that money cannot buy, its the only way he'll be impressed. u have to think of it, cause none of us know him

  17. i would buy them nothing if there so rich then they can buy their own stuff

  18. Ask him he is really the only one who knows what he wants.

  19. 1. A bundle of video games for a console he has

    2. A game system he may not have

    3. A few pairs of sneakers

    4. (He'd probably have one.) An ipod - touch?

    5. Something cool for his bedroom

  20. try finding his interest and go from there. maybe his mama can give you a heads up on something he wants. good luck. these are the hard ones to buy for.
