  1. Buy her gift certificates for lessons at a local riding barn. Those never get old!

  2. a horse teddy =D

    or a hippo.

    but that's a personal opinion :P

  3. You can go off the beaten trail and give you friend something totally unhorsey.  She would no doubt like a Hannah Montana something or other.  Or some other girly stuff.  School starting back again, she could probablyuse a lot of new stuff.  What you would you really like if it was your birthday...then give that to her.

  4. a new nan, lol, only joking, why not kit her out with a new jacket and have her name and her ponys name( if she has one) embroidered on it, great for riding,  Im sure she will love it, I got one last yr with my names on it and i was overjoyed, im 23!! lol, you can get loadsa glitzy bits added on these days and make them really sparkly and girly, perfect for a 12 yr old, hope this helps x

  5. if she rides.. buy her tack cleaner or lease a horse and buy tack! (this is comming from a 12 year old by the way!)

  6. Some horsey DVDs/videos for those days when she can't ride.  Don't know what is out there but Saddle Club springs to mind. You know kind of like the My Friend Flicker/Thunderhead stuff.

If she likes to read, hunt down a really great of favourite I absolutely loved as a 12yo...Follyfoot Farm series.  I just loved them.

I did like the idea of the name on a jacket.

  7. How about a gift card or certificate to get what she wants from somewhere with stuff Nan doesn't have?  Does Nan have access to training videos or books geared toward that age?  What is the budget as well, what about getting her $ to attend a clinic or lesson or something?
