What do you buy if you want loud music in your chevy avalanche?

go with 2 p3 rockford fosgate deep mount subwoofers, or the p2 versions by fosgate, and get a rockford fosgate amplifier to power them, and a pioneer head unit would add some great looks to the car as well. this set up will make sure you are heard from far, far away, and replace the front door speakers for some components with tweeters.

I don't understand why people multiplying ther speaker in car, especially with normal, non-competition systems. The second speaker does only up to 3db more noise, but you have to have stronger batery, stronger wires, stronger/mutliple amps, second speaker - you pay almost double price of 1 piece system for only (in best case) 3db more SPL. it is insane. You should buy better quality (not power handling) amp and better quality - more sensitive speaker for higher price instead of doubling your sh*t for DOUBLE PRICE. the result will be cheaper system, smaller box which left you some space in the trunk, better quality sound and "wow effect" in terms of "wooow! how can this small box play so loud. awesome!"

you save your money, car space, weight of the system, power   consumption with the same result
