What do you buy to feed toads?

crickets is all i would feed them. you can get them at almost any local pet store.  pet co, pet smart, pet supplies plus, etc.

Well really it depends on their size, obviously smaller ones eat smaller food.

I've had hundreds of toads over the years and I always either fed them crickets (store bought and caught in the garden)

The store bought ones don't bite back though and sometimes those black crickets do. So buying is good, good choice! lol.

You want to buy crickets no wider than your toads head, not too tiny though either, my toads seemed to like the biggest food they could eat.

The only trouble is very small ones who need "pinhead crickets" which are baby crickets and not all stores have them. If this is the case for you you may want to consider buying some flightless fruit flies off the internet and starting a culture of them so you always have food.

It really depends on the type of toad. For example toads around your house eat flies but toads raised in captivity usually eat crickets which you can find at your local pet store e.g Petsmart etc.
