What do you call a carbonated beverage

i call it soda but i get laughed at because my friends all call it pop, what do you all call it

We call it soda but one state over from us call it pop

Certain places refer to it just as 'coke'.

Them:  "Want a coke?"

Me:  "Sure."

Them:  "What kind?"

Me:  "Uummm...coke."

Them:  "What KIND of coke?  I got 7-up, rootbeer, Mtn. Dew, DP......"

Me:  "OH!  DP is fine."

I had some variation of this exchange MANY times while living in southern Indiana.  :)

Oh, I call it 'soda', BTW.  :D

haha it depends where you're from! people in the midwest say pop. my friends from canada and he just says soft drinks. i call it soda though

Now I live in Califonria and it's soda.

I have a friend from Indiana that says pop.

Depends on your geographical location.  South is one name, north is the opposite.
