  1. most people won't acknowledge that as any kind of vegetarian, me included... but some call people that eat only fish a pescetarian. I am not vegetarian, but I'm pretty sure being a vegetarian is about sparing animals lives, and I'm pretty sure seafood are animals, unless you are eating only kelp and seaweed... I don't even think sea cucmbers would be considered vegetarain

  2. seafood is meat.  its an animal that was killed and is eaten. that is the definition of meat.  vegetarians can eat eggs and milk, being that milk and eggs are not animals that are killed and eaten.  it is very simple.  therefore your friend is not a vegetarian. people who eat seafoood but no other meat are called pescetarians, although i think the term makes no sense, since seafood is meat.  vegans eat no animal products whatsoever including milk and eggs.

  3. She might be a phony! But nothing is wrong with her. However, she will not be protein deficient.

  4. Yes, she's still a vegetarian. I'm the same thing. A vegan is someone who doesn't eat ANY animal products.

    best of luck!

  5. I would call them someone who has a semi-sensible diet.

  6. shes a pescetarian

  7. Your friend is a 'pescitarian'

  8. Seafood? Then she's a pescetarian.

Eating eggs and drinking milk doesn't mean you're not a vegetarian. It just means you're not a vegan. Vegans don't eat animal by-products, vegetarians often do.

  9. pescatarian-she eats fish, ovo-lacto-vegetarian- she eats eggs and dairy.

  10. well shes a vegetarian..

things like eggs and milk don't harm the animal when you take them away from it. like wool , wool is from an animal but still everybody wears it because it is not hurt in the process of shearing.

  11. No such thing.  No type of vegetarian eats seafood.  A pescetarian is not a vegetarian.

  12. if she eats fish but not meat then she is a pescatarian

  13. pescatarian, though she really isn't a vegetarian at all. fish are animals too, and vegetarians do not eat any animals at all.

  14. Youd call her a pescetarian. But to clear up any questions, she'll just say Im a vegetarian but I eat fish too.

It is a type of vegetarian,

She can still be a vegetarian and eat eggs and dairy products. Its vegans who dont eat eggs and dairy products.

  15. she is NOT a vegetarian, like others said she would be a pescatarian, i'd like that make it clear though that a pescatarian is not a vegetarian. vegetarians don't eat any flesh. its stupid how people do these halfway vegetarian diet things(pescatarian and pollitarian-some who eats chicken) and then people call themselves vegetarian, and then it just confuses everyone. like ill go out to eat and ill ask what they have that is vegan and they will show me their seafood dishes.

  16. Omnivorous

  17. She's not a vegetarian.  The Vegetarian Society coined the word in the 1840s to refer to a person who does not eat flesh and they have never accepted fish-eating as part of the definition of the word vegetarian.

Pescetarian is a newer word coined to define someone who would otherwise be vegetarian, but eats sea creatures.

Eggs and milk are a personal call.  Some vegetarians eat them and some don't.

  18. She is not a vegetarian if she eats sea creatures. Vegetarians don't eat any animal flesh and fish are animals.

A person who eats fish and no other animals is called a pescetarian.

  19. If eat eggs and sea food he/she must me called Non-Vegetarian
