  1. If you want someone who only looks at specific rock specimens then it is either a petrologist or lithologist depending on whether you're thinking of on micro or macroscopic scales.

  2. Geologist

  3. Geologist is a general term for someone who studies the earth and would encompass specialisms such as paleontology (study of ancient life and fossils) and Mineralogy which is the study of rocks and the minerals they contain. In the UK, Mineralogist would be a more common term, though Petrologist is also a term for someone who studies rocks.

  4. For the "geology" type of rock it's a geologist. For the "musical" type of rock I'd think that's a musicologist.

  5. rockman.lol.(just joking)

    its a geologist

  6. Geologists

  7. A Rocker

  8. A Geologist. Palientologist studies Dino's n such.

  9. Geologist, but you must have known that already since you asked the question in "Earth Sciences and Geology".

  10. A GEOLOGIIIIIIIIIIST. or a rock-ist ;) xx

  11. A petrologist is more correct answer. Petrology is a branch of Geology that deals with rocks (petros = rocks). A geologist scientifically studies the earth and its different processes.

  12. its a petrologist not a geologist as some people might think
