What do you call those slipper-socks sold on the sidewalks in mecca? how would one search for them online?

a friend of mine abroad (a non arab) asked me about them and i couldn't think of a name...not english or arabic to be honest...any help would do...

  2. I just saw some of those today at a garage sale here in the states.  No lie.  I call them hospital socks.

    They are given out to patients so they keep their feet warm on the cold tile floor in hospitals.   But, they have the rubber grippy stuff on the bottom so folks don't slip.

  3. are you talking about something that has a toe sewn in, so you can wear them with flip flop shoes?

    Although iv not seen them,  The men in my family when making hajj just wear regular socks and push them in to wear with sandels.. ( haha)  but ive always called the socks you mentioned "toe-socks"...

    We dont have many websites for hajj clothing or "mecca" clothing.. sorry..
