Can a person live a great life and not accomplish grand feats like Gandhi, Churchill, or Einstein ? How about individuals who choose not to have children, can they lead a well lived life? Is a great life fostered by how many people a person touches, helps, or befriends? What have you done to live a great life?

  1. I think that many people can contribute to society and not have a lot of money or material things.

I think the most important thing for all people is to live a life a free of greed and hate as much as possible...Try to avoid being drawn in by the seven deadly sins: Pride, covetousness, envy, gluttony, anger, accidie (sloth), and lust.

I try to live each day of my life as if it will be my last and I will be standing before God for my final judgment...

  2. a life with no regrets would be a life well lived, unfortuantly my mistakes/memories keep me company.

  3. A life with adequate cheesecake consumption.

You only get the one, so just make it what you want.  Don't worry if you fail at accomplishing grand feats.  Just try to be happy more often than miserable.

  4. I think the only way to consider a life well lived is if by the end of the day you are truly happy with your life.

You don't have to accomplish grand feats, or have kids, or how many people you help or befriend.

A life well lived is if you are truly happy with your life.

  5. My father used to tell us kids "The world doesn't have to be any better because you've been in it, but, you are OBLIGATED not to leave it any worse because you have been in it" I tried to live by that and I have done a pretty good job of it. I am a nurse and work in cardiac so I have been in many code situations and have had the opportunity to bring people back whose hearts have stopped. Does that make me great nope, it just makes me a nurse doing her job. A job that I am very proud of and very conscientious at. I have raised a son who is kind, loyal, an asset to the community. I am married to the love of my life. We ride our Harley's on our days off. We garden together, we travel mostly to the mountains in Tenn. In short I think that my life up to this point has been very well lived. I am very excited to see what the next fifty years will bring us.
