I just wondered... am not making trouble, but the subject's got me curious now. This one's mostly for the skeptics, but what would you consider proof that the paranormal (ghosts/spirits/demons, whatever)? For those of you who've expressed a geniune interest in the paranormal (I forget who asked that question recently? Was it Deenie?) do you have anything specific you always hope to see (as proof, I mean)?? If so, what sorts of things?

just curious.

  1. Actually, no, the skeptics aren't always talking about scientific proof. Rather, they ask for scientific evidence. That's a very different thing. The former is unattainable in a strict sense, while the latter is attainable. The best I could hope for is successful controlled scientific experiments replicated by independent research teams. And it would be cool if something paranormal happened to me, but it would be hard to attribute it to the paranormal when there are ready natural explanations to be had, and I'd need witnesses to corraborate what I saw or experienced.

  2. i am practicing alternative healing through prayers, oracles and oil application.the proof is they become healed onced prayed over and applied with holy oil!

  3. Seeing a 'ghost' myself wouldn't prove to me that they existed because I know a lot of you genuinely believe you are seeing ghosts when in my opinion you are not and I would consider myself to be equally deluded.

I would only be convinced when mainstream proper respectable scientists could conduct repeatable experiments accepted by their peers to prove their existence.

  4. What'd I do now????? lol

We've asked this question so many times..and if anyone mentions Randi..........

I used to believe..just didn't believe it would happen to ME. WHAT A SHOCK when it did!!!

I was so amazed that others weren't interested in knowing about the things that were happening to me. I had proof...but that's not enough for them. Some would say"Oh..that's happened to me for a long time." And I'd yell.."THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU EVER TELL ME????" I just couldn't believe they weren't as excited about it as I was.So..I don't care about "proving" it to ANYONE anymore.I just want to try to understand it.

  5. Seeing the spirit/ghost appear, make some sort of contact, and disapear right before my eyes. It would have to be moving around as well, so I knew it was 3D. And it would have to be of someone I KNEW was dead.

I'm not really skeptic about alot of things.

But for me to REALLY believe it?

Those things would have to happen.
