I want to know what it is that you consider so beautiful about the season that you say is the best. Also, how long were you there? And in what area?

Thank you!

  1. there is no best season, i think they all are great depending on what you would like to do.

Italy has a very various enviroment....you can come here during the winter time and go up on the mountains and enjoy some skiing an some good mountain like food (i.e. pizzoccheri)

or you can come in spring and go all over the place from north to south and enjoy the mountain and the hills for nice walks or the seaside for some fresh nice air ( i would maybe avoid march cause it is famous for rainining a little too much)

The summer is great if you want to enjoy the seaside as it is usually hot but breezy or go up to the mountains where you can get a real good tan but need a sweather in the evening.

My favourite city is Florence as it is not too big but still a city , lots of history and art and fun.

My favourite region is Umbria...much like Tuscany but greener.

My favourite seaside places are Sicily (and the Eolie islands),Sardinia and Amalfi coast.

  2. April to june is great. meoderate weather. several happennings. can spent enjoybale vacation. specaily may and june, lot to see. but bit crowed. but it didnt ruine my holyday..

Sept is so crowded. August too hot. Beaches are good for august

  3. Absolutely southern Italy, Apulia region. I am from this region and I can tell you that during summer time, from June to September, the sea and the nature around are so beautiful that you will be speechless once you will be there.

    Lecce is my favorite town.

Have a look to the link below and you will have an idea of what I am talking about.

  4. I am from Lucca in Tuscany and I can assure you that the best period to visit my region is  September

  5. hey there,

I'm from Munich Germany. not even 8 hours away from Italy been there a few time plus I have family living there. the best season in italy would be summer. Why because during the summer you can go to the beach, and do a lots of other fun stuff. it dosen't get as hot in euorpe during the summer like it gets in some places in the US. So its easier to do stuff without thinking you gonna die from the heat. lol.

its  great country but not as great as germany lol..

    have fun

  6. Rome: April/May & Sept/October are the two best parts of the season. It's about 65 to 75 degrees, so its not too. (Yeas a few rainy days, but that's ok.) The summer in Italy is really hot. With the tourists and the heat, its totally miserable. Not as many tourists in April/May & Sept/Oct and its turning warmer.

  7. In Italy, July and August are always hot... everywere. April, May, September are more lovely. However, it may rains in Semptember, more than in April.

The region of Italy you want to visit is an individual choice. Venice, Rome and Florence are classical choices.

Southern Italy has a lot of problems with crime and water shortages during Summer, especially in Sicily.

    Some examples:

If you are looking for a "very quiet" place in Italy and not too much expensive, you may try the Conero coast near Ancona, in Marche, in the Adriatic Sea Coast.

If you are looking for a "youngs, s*x and drugs" place in Italy, you can go to Rimini or Riccione, in Emilia Romagna, in the Adriatic Sea Coast. Very crowed, very expensive.

If you are looking for troubles, you can go to Naples or Rome... very very fascinating cities BUT with a lot of problems. Check always your pocket in crowed situations (Bus, Metro, Stations); and always ask the price before buying something... always say "Too much expensive... I don't buy!" and probably the price will decrease a bit... beware taxi drivers, don't board in a taxi if the driver has not the "fares machine (tassametro)". If he asks you 100 Euros for a Taxi route of few miles, say that you will call the police (carabinieri) and the route price probably will fell to 50 Euros... and many other little things...

    Good luck! :)
