  1. when they are not friends of the wife.

    he is disrespecting his marriage.

his wife should be his friend also, he can text her if he likes texting.

the other woman needs to put a stop to the so call friendly relationship.

if nothing happens now,  something will happen later.

  2. I don't think talking on the phone or texting each day is a problem - as long as it's normal friendly chat and providing that indulging in it doesn't compromise family time/couple time.

Anything that's within the realm of normal human interaction would be okay with me - phoning, texting, talking, non-sexual friendly affection.

Too far ... anything done in secrecy, excessive physical contact (anything beyond the normal friendly hug and kiss in greeting).

Spending time together is okay, but I think the spouse should know about it and have the right to veto the meeting if she's uncomfortable with it.

I'm a little shocked that so many respondents seem to be deadset against any female friends whatsoever. It saddens me really. I find it weird and oppressive. Just because someone gets married does not mean that they have to eliminate half the population from their potential friendships list. It would be very odd to do so. I think it's perfectly okay, in fact healthy, for married people to maintain friendships with both men and women ... as long as sensible boundaries are observed and the marriage is protected.

  3. the fact that my husband had female friends before marrige annoys me....its not good to have girls as friends after marriage...may b what iam telling is too ameture but i dont want my husband to have ANY female friends after marriage...just talking to some women for casual purpose is ok...tats all...we dont have any friends of opposite sexes if we know then they wud b a married couple we both know

  4. he is disrespecting you so where are you when he is talking to her?  what are you doing when he is talking to her?

  5. Your real problem is not his questionable behavior....it's your own lack of self esteem and self respect!

When you have good self esteem and high self respect you will be  secure and confident enough not be bothered by the competition and you will know how to confront your mate over his uncool behavior with beneficial results.

  6. out of respect, the married man shouldn't have female friends that cross the line. female friends should be friends with you first. c'mon, it is inappropriate.

  7. I honestly don't believe that a married men should have any female friends.  It goes both ways, WHY? Well most opposite s*x friendship end up liking each other. I don't have any guy friend and my husband doesn't have any girlfriends. Unless is a married couple then we all hang out.

  8. Well first I would want to know who the female is and how my man knows hers and if I know her as well....

If they are saying anything sexual to each other then that is crossing the line, I might even consider sending adult jokes and pics as crossing the line but then again depends on who and if I know them...

Talking on the phone... If it is business and I can hear the conversation then probably not a problem... Calling in the middle of the night because their (the females) car broke down or their husband just left them and they need his shoulder, then there is a problem....

Unless it is business related having a meal together would be crossing the line...

Emailing, chatting, texting etc with someone online that the man came across is crossing the line unless there is a very specific reason for it...like here on answers... if it is question related then okay but if it becomes a personal level like.... How are you, where to you live, I think you look good/hot etc then that would be crossing the line...
