You have a problem you want to solve, that keeps coming up in your mind, and you want to talk about it with someone, but you know you can't because it becomes obsessive? Do you not solve it, by thinking, and talking about it?

  1. If you have a problem start solving it immediately. If you do not get any body else to share it that does not mean you should stop solving it.

I think, one should try to solve to the extent one can.

  2. Sometimes I have a problem that is basically "unsolveable" - BUT talking to someone about it still makes me feel better.  It can actually help me stop obsessing about it.  The problem is still there, I haven't changed a thing, but my mind is eased a little, my heart a little lighter.

  3. If you have a problem and you absolutely can't talk to someone, then turn to pencil and paper.

Define the problem -- write down what it is that's bothering you.

Make a list of things you could do about it -- never mind consequences of what you could do for now, just list what you could do about it first -- so you get all the choices in front of you and don't rule anything out yet.

Now go back, and really think hard about each action you may take.  Sometimes we need to remember to think not only short term, but also long term.  Sometimes when you have a problem and you first take action, there's an adverse reaction; but if, in the long run, that's the best way to make it better, you have to really take a long look at that option.

Finally, if you've really reviewed and racked your brain and still see no solution, then let it go and find something else to work on where you can make progress right now.  You're not giving up, you're waiting until you can do something positive . . . .

  4. The best way to solve a problem and have it stop going round and round in your head is to talk it over with someone whom you trust. Once you get all the facts and feelings out, then you can begin to sort it all out. It only becomes obsessive when you try and deal with something that you can't come up with an aswer for on your own.

  5. the thing that you are not doing it's the thing that could resolve it, i mean it seems like anyone wants to talk bout it, but if you don't, then never it's gonna be solved, you need to talk, ans say what you want to say
