What do you do about a husband who likes to hide money and never tell you the exact amount he has??

I am a stay at home mother of 4 children. This just started to happen a year ago when my husband likes to hide his money and when I ask him how much he has, he gets defensive about it and doesn't want to tell me the exact amount. He will say between 3-4 hundred or some answer like that.

It frustrates me because I feel I am part of the money issue even though I am a stay at home mother.

Why does he hide his money and like to control the money aspect of everything in our relationship??

If he is hiding money then it sounds like he is up to something.

If you don't know anything about the money, you really don't know where and what(who) it's being spent on do you?

If he knows you are a gold digger, like most women, then he is a smart man, otherwise he is selfish.
