This guy is 25, depressed and has anxiety, but he won't take meds for it due to bad experiences taking them. He went through a lot of trauma as a child. He is a really nice person, has a good heart and will bend out backwards for anyone. Everyone once in a while ( for 1 day every couple months) he gets into this real depressed mood where he wants no one around him, and he tries everything he can to kill himself except for actually doing it. He even cuts himself. Then he says things like he has no feelings for anyone, and he wants more than anything to kill someone and or himself. This only lasts one day and then the next day he says sorry and goes back to normal. I am at lost ends on giving advice on this one. so any answers can help. the more the better. thank you

  1. Well, what do you want from him? To be his significant other? If not, just stay away when his bipolar disorder is out of whack, or lace his orange juice with his medication.

  2. Obviously, he needs to see a psychiatrist and try meds until he finds some that work. If he refuses to do this, and has exactly one day of psychosis, then stay away from him on that day, ignore anything he says during it, and wait for him to go back to normal.

  3. maybe he needs counseling and even though he might reject the idea because he feels as if opening up to someone and talking about things that already existed and has been past in his life he might not be so happy to go to counseling but you could maybe try to have a counselor come in and talk to him a little bit at time for a short period of time each day and when that day happens the day that he wants to be apart from everybody maybe that counselor can help and/or he might be a little better than last time other than i dont really know the answer but never give up hope i hope that this helps
