I've been filling out applications all summer long and I haven't gotten hired at any single one of them! Do I call them? What is the process after filling out an application?

  1. send them in!

  2. You either fax or give them the application, or better yet, make a resume and look for a job online. Also see your local stores or restaurants etc . and see if they are hiring.

  3. There isn't any harm in calling them to ask for any additional information that you by inquiring as to why you did not get the position or if the position is still open . You may not be getting to job because of your age, well that is if your to young, Equal Opportunity Employment allows a employer to discriminate on the bases of age.

  4. You are too late. If you were smart, you would have asked for the name of the hiring manager when you turned in your application. Your application probably ended up in the trash can.

  5. well, what i suggest you do is be very persistent, managers USUALLY LIKE THAT, however..some get annoyed. i say you just call in or if you are brave enough to meet the hiring manager, you ask for him/her and ask them for your status on the job.

  6. After you fill them out turn them in. Then in a couple of days ask them if they have looked over your application and if they have any positions available for you.

  7. Depending on where you are applying, you can call back and follow up.

Simply call and ask for the person in charge of hiring. Let them know you submitted an application and express that you are still interested in working with them. What I usually do is inquire about when interviews will be taking place.

I don't know how much work experience you have, but try to have somebody else look at the job applications you are submitting.Maybe

they could give you some pointers to increase the chances you get called back (i.e: opening up your availability).

From my observation, most employers keep applications on file for about 90 days. This means that they may still have your application, but they may not be hiring just yet.

    Best of luck!

  8. When you get your application, fill it out and write a really good resume. Bring it in to the job site(s) and give it directly to the manager. Don't give it to an employee because you don't know what they'll do with it. I've had experiences where they throw them out! Tell the manager you are seriously interested and that you hope to be in touch soon. Good Luck!!!

  9. call every 3 days for a follow up. let them know you haven't forgotten and you're interested. good luck

  10. my mother  always told  me to be  persistent.. call  them and let  them know that  you really want the job
