  1. Well orientations are just for you to get a feel around the school. You can walk around and just explore. If you run into someone from last year just don't freak out. Try to ignore them and go on with your day. You will do great. Have fun!

  2. You will be told about the locations of classrooms, the work required for your grades and the attendance, lateness and homework policy./

  3. i didn't go to mine, only if its a new school, or you want to see your classes early, but you can always check on edline.

and you shouldnt hate middle school, even though there is a lot of drama and stupid stuff going on. you dont need to be worried all about seeing people you hate, maybe on the first day you can make new friends and start over with people.

  4. i just went to mine today... and what we did was we spilt up into groups (they put u in it) and we just went around the school looking at the campus. and we played some games... talked to people we walked by and yah... it was actually FUN seeing everyone and even if u do see peopl u dont want to see, just ignore then and just keep walking. its realllllyyyyyy fun going trust me!!!! and then after... u go back into the HUGE group you started with--- aka everyone together---and a teacher or a staff member will talk to you about some stuff about school and stuff about the first day of school. dont worry! its SOO MUch fun seeing the school and everyone that u used to know. and ignore people if u dont like them. u'll meet new people and feel better on the first day!!! hope this helps!

  5. most of the time, you just pay attention because they're going to do a tour around school, and trust me, you don't wanna be lost on the first day of school... also, if you have questions, you can ask there, too.  so basically, you can say an orientation's kinda like a tour for you to know your school's environment.

  6. I may be ancient but when I went to mine a million years ago we were shown the school, picked up our schedule cards, and met the teachers and got a preview of some of the clubs and extracurricular activities available at the school.  Each school is slightly different.

You shouldn't worry about the people you didn't like last year.  It's amazing what a summer vacation can do to a person.  When I was in the 6th grade I'd tattle if you said "butt."  When school started in the fall I cussed worse than a sailor.  Some people who were my friends stopped being them and I made tons of new friends.  It's really just part of growing up and life in general.  If you see someone you don't like just say hi and go on with life.  I think ignoring them will seem to cold.  You really never know how people have changed over the summer.

  7. You are in for the time of your life. The older kids are going to haze you with writing on your face and making you eat dead bats and all kinds of bad things. It's okay though, no one has died yet.  Lol, just kidding. You'll be the older kid now.
