  1. relax..... they will show you exactly what you do and gradually your get all your stars as time goes by and before you know it your be training someone yourself good luck.................

  2. Relax and just pay close attention to any instructions.  It will probably be collecting rubbish from tables, wiping tables etc and sweeping and then you will move up and up.  Do not worry about the till.  Nobody would know how to work the till when they start.  You would never have been on the "other side of the counter" so how could you know?

I expect they would prefer someone who does not know the system so that they can train you exactly the way they want you!

  3. if you serve people just smile and use your manners

  4. Relax and don't stress too much. My friends daughter works there and they will train you up on everything. you will also be sent on courses too such as basic food hygiene and first aid etc.

  5. Watch training videos/DVD

Simple tasks like cleaning the lobby.

The cash register is computerized so you just push buttons.

  6. I work in the kitchen at McDonalds and on my first day I was trained on how to use the grill and fryers. Basically learned how to make the meat which is the easiest part. They'll train you really well all about safety too. Then when you're good at that (a month or so later), you'll learn how to make all the sandwhiches and burgers.

But don't worry about it cuz it's really easy and fun. Don't stress!

  7. Not to put you off but the training scheme at McDonald's is rubbish.

Once you get there will be a sheet of new starters in the main office, next to your name will be where you will be assigned. I was assigned the TILL. They paired me up with an experienced till operator. She showed me the different menus, what buttons to press on the till, how to assemble orders. At first she did the till, then I did the orders (assembling). Then by the end of the day I was doing the orders and assembling. Next shift I did they put me on a till on MY OWN. I was out of my depth. People reading this might think there is nothing too working at McDonald's, but I was a uni student at the time (so I'm not stupid) and when there is a huge queue and its only your second shift its really hard. Then in my first week they assigned me the till on a Saturday (busiest day). I did it for 4 weeks then got the h**l out of there.

    Best of luck
