  1. Have some food & drink & a laugh with friends.

Watch the racing & bet on the horses & hopefully get a few winners

  2. As soon as you arrive you will be greeted by good friendly staff, who will fill you in with any extra events that are scheduled ,sometimes there are tours to the weighing room which are very interesting. Good food and drinks (overpriced I hasten to add) but not many people complain I am sure you will have a really good day and hopefully a winner or two. Good luck

  3. You go in get you're racecard.

    Meet up with people.

Go to the pub (on the racecourse grounds).

Look for tips from strangers and give a tip if you have one.

Go to the parade ring to look at the horses (how they're looking, nervous egt.)

Stand at the fence beside the last jump ( I think it's a better spot the the finish post )

    Enjoy yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. well, I drank a bit too much champagne and chatted to loads of people.

  5. bet, theres always other entertainment on nowadays,it can be a fun day out

  6. It depends on the racecourse and meeting.  It is a good day out with friends as there are bars and sometimes entertainment put on, such as tribute bands.  There is the betting, which can be fun.  Depending on your tickets, you may have access to the restaurants - if not there are plenty of other food places, but these can be expensive.  You will also get to meet lots of people and have a good chat and a laugh with them.

If you are a horse lover, it is interesting to see the many different types of thoroughbred that go racing.  It is a good way of learning about conformation and the work involved in working with these lovely animals.  As a photographer I always take my camera as you get some great shots at close range.

  7. At any race track, you watch the races and (usually) gamble on the races. They also sell food and alcohol and many have restaurants. More and more tracks these days also have slot machines or a casino nearby.
