What do you do first after you buy a car(used)???

I ask this question because its gonna be my first car i have never had to handle this type of thing myself before...But do i go get insurence,tag,emissions,OR what first can somebody help me ASAP and i plan on buying it next week and stay in Atlanta,Ga if that matters at all LOL.........THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!

First thing is to get insurance, which you will need to provide proof of to get it registered. Then get a temporary plate so you can drive it around to get it emissions tested and registered. In AZ you can get a 3 day tag online for $1, not sure about other states. Next go get it emissions tested. Finally, go to the DMV and have it inspected if need and registered.

I always look for drugs or something that could get me arrested that wasn't even mine, if there is I call the cops and get the police to arrest the previous owner. Get insurance, but shop around for the best, get the tags after you know what they your doing with the car, check and make sure everything is good with the car.

First thing you do is get it insured. Then, get it registered. You might have to get a smog certificate before getting it registered. Last but not least, do some PM's on it like changing the oil, filter etc., and have a mechanic check it .
