Question:

What do you do first in gymnastics?

I'm starting gymnastics tomorrow hopefully and I want to know what you do on the first day and such. Do they make you stretch a lot? What kind of stretches are they? And will they critize you? i heard that before and will it hurt to stretch? JUST TLEL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT GYMNASTICS WHEN YOU START IT.

  1. i have been taking gymnastics since i was 4 so i know what im talking about...but since its your first time there not gonna have you do to much...im at the point where i can do a round off back handspring back tuck. so i can do alot. but there just gonna show you the basic skills...you know forward roll, backward roll, cartwheel, and maybe some handstand type of things but i dont know forsure cause i was 4 when i first started good luckkk! =]


  2. dont worry!!!  u will have fun....basically the 1st day u just get a little taste of everything.....have some streching and try out some super easy skills on each apparatus......u will probably do some splits, try to touch ur toes, roll head, shoulders, wrists, ankles, ect.....nothing to crazy.....thy wont critisize u or make fun of u......every single person there has had a 1st day and ur not supposed to be able to do a round off, back handspring, back layout on ur first day! = )  i will warn u that u will be sore the next day!!!  u will discover muscles u didnt know existed!  but its never as bad as that 1st day so keep up with it.....my suggestion......take a hot bath b4 u go to bed and do a few of the streches u learn to relax ur muscles......hae fun and good luck!!!
