What do you do for conditioning in volleyball?

We can only do it outside, because the gym isn't available right now.

  1. Footwork like karaoke would be great for volleyball. Also, try jogging with friends, it heightens stamina.


  2. Lot's of squats and jumpies (squats with a jump at the end).

    Do some ab work (sculler crunches, front and side planks) and quick feet excericises (jump in and out of a small hoop for a minute; set up a rope ladder on the ground with small spaces between the rungs and run across with quick, short steps, keeping those knees high.)  Also, regular old running helps with endurance, and sprints help with...sprinting.

    Lunges are killer, but fantastic for your butt and thighs...do at least 50 a day.  They hurt like the dickens, but will make you so strong, I swear.
