does it hurt to get stung by a wasp? what should you do if you DO get stung by a wasp? should you swat it away if it is like, on your arm or leg or something??

  1. see it there is a stinger where it stung, remove, if there is, put ice packs on the sting or a paste of meat tenderizer, if you have any

  2. You cant go through life being afraid of what might happen. I have been keeping honey bees for years now and have been stung several times. I would rather be stung by a Bee than have my finger stuck by a doctor.Bees and wasp behave differently.  a honey bee out foraging for food is not a threat they are only defensive when defending the hive.  in fact a honey bee knows it will die if it stings you so will do so only in defense. bees that land on you will fly away shortly once they learn that you are not a flower ( avoid wearing perfume while in the out doors). wasps are more aggressive around the nest. but much the same while out foraging.  most people are stung when they try to swat one off there body.  if one lands on you just ignore it, blow it off or brush it off but don't swat or smash.
