Okay so basically my hair was faded black, and i have an appointment for tuesday night to get it highlighted and cut and everything, but i'm trying to get it like a chestnut color and i know the only way to get it that color when your hair is black, is to bleach it. No salons around here will do that for me, so i decided to bleach it myself. So last night i bleached it, and it came out orange and my roots are yellow, which i expected. So i bleached it again today, but not my roots because they're already light enough. Well, i don't see any difference AT ALL. i followed the directions, i got the supplies at Sallys, left it in for the reccommented amt. of time, and its just like.. an orangish color. not light at all.

i don't want to leave it like this and go to the salon tuesday night, because its really embarrassing and i don't want them all to lecture me or anything.

would it be a bad idea to dye my roots a color like my hair is right now then go over it with a darkish brown?

and what are some ideas to get my hair healthy again... it's SOOO fried

thank you!

  1. oh...my...god!

Why did you bleach your hair AGAIN after t turning orange!?

    Did you permanently bleach it?

If so, go to the hairdressers with a bag over your head and get it fixed!

  2. when you bleach you're hair, it always has an orange tint to it, but it fades away in over a week or something.

so it's normal if it's kinda of orangish color

  3. I would shave off all my hair and buy a wig.

  4. Believe me when I say that salon's see this type of stuff alot. You are not the first one to s***w up their hair trying to do it yourself. Honestly the best thing you can do is to leave it as is and go to your appt and let a professional fix it. It may take a couple of appt's but at least it will be taken care of properly and you won't do anymore damage to your hair. Good Luck to you...

  5. just cut your hair and dye it dark and just top dying your hair!

  6. First I would go to a pro hair dresser. Let them give you a good cut and a good conditioning. Then leave your hair alone and let time heal what you have damaged so severely.

A lecture can't be as embarrassing as walking around like that.
