  1. Are you asking because you are clinically depressed??  Suffering from depression and feeling bad are two different things...however, if you are asking on this page, I figure it has become a serious problem that you are seeking answers.. I would first decide if you are depressed, if you simply google "depression symptoms" you can get a list of symptoms that will include: changes in appetite, change in sleep patterns, adhedonia (lack of interest or fun in things you previously did) lack of energy, feelings of helplessness or hopelessness, etc...if these symptoms persist over a two month period, or these symptoms (your symptoms) have made a negative impact on your life...I will tell you what I first did...

Reveal your thoughts an feelings to  someone hwo you trust (parent, friend, mentor, family memver, religious figure, etc) then I sough the help of a mental health professional.  I did this through my GP and he recommended a pyshcotherapist that I did not like. I then found a psychiatrist whom prescribed me medication that I did not like..it was one year later and a failed suicide attmept that I found the right doctor (psychiatrist) and the right medication along with psychotherapy that made the biggest difference for me.

I suffer from bipolar II disorder and can say my journey was hard, "interesting" and far from over. I can;t sit here andsay that I am cured, but I can sit here and say that I wasn;t the perosn I was when Ifirst realized that I suffered from a mental illness, I have fun, happiness, people who live me and most important people I love, life is grat and shouldn't be damaged by an illness that with hard work, patience and a strong will to overcome can be managed.  I went through h**l and if I can do it, anyone can I am living proof...best of luck to you, I hope that you can find happiness in your life once again.....

  2. Go to Daily Mass, sing, and think positive thoughts. Then go to water aerobics, and our to lunch with friends. Before bedtime I will read the Psalms.

  3. I like to go to the gym and exercise. It takes my mind off why i'm upset. I also enjoy doing spending time with people who can cheer me up.

  4. Think about the reason you could be depressed and not just fed up ,

Right all the good things in your life down, then all the things that get you down, ask yourself these questions

Is every day one long struggle to get through.

Do you want to just lie about and do nothing.

Do you cry and feel sad most of the time.

Has something changed in your life to bring about a change in mood.

Even if you are going to work , do you clock watch to get back home and feel sad and tearful

    Is your self esteem low.

Can you concentrate on tv/reading a book.

Do you find it hard to get to sleep, then waken up early.

I would say if you can answer yes to at least 3/4 of these questions , you may be depressed and should speak to your GP , hope you feel better soon

  5. If it feels like your really depressed then you should talk to a doctor. If your just having a bad day, or, you just broke up with someone or got some bad news, then you just need to work through it. Everyone gets down from time to time. Try and put life into perspective and realize that life is nothing but ups and downs. You may feel down now but in time it WILL get better. If you suspect you may be clinically depressed than you should certainly see someone.

  6. Start getting more exercise.  At least 30 minutes a day, an hour is better.  Exercise really helps with depression.  It gives you a sense of control in your life.  It burns off energy and allows you to feel calm.  It is cheaper than drugs and there are other health benefits also.  When I feel depressed I go ride my bike.

  7. Talk to an adult, any parent/guardian, a school counselor

you may need professional help. Don't worry, they will help. Also being with your friends or whoever makes you happy might help.

  8. If you feel like your getting depressed try these things:

    - Hang out with friends or family who cheer you up.

    - Listen to your favorite upbeat music, or listen to some sad music and cry it all out.

    - Do some begginners yoga at home (look it up on google) so your emotions are spread out and your body has no tension.

    -Read a good book.

    -Take a bath and meditate.

    - Sing at the top of your lungs to release emotion.

    Just things like this.

Get out of the house and take a long walk maybe.

    Anything to help.

If serious depression kicks in i do advise seeing a professional though.

We dont want anything serious to happen.

    Hope this helps you. :]

  9. I do something fun with friends.

  10. go ride a roller coaster

  11. try anything to lift your spirits....and if nothing works go to a doctor and get some drugs that will make you more happy

because they say depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain

  12. kill yourself..

    jkjk

but you should go to a therapist and get some anti-depressants
