This isn't my entire portfolio, just a few examples. I would like to improve, because I feel like my work lacks something. I would welcome CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms... thank you very much for taking a look.

  1. I paint but do not draw, but from what I see, you have beginnings of a beautiful talent.

In your horse drawing, I would suggest you study muscle structure and balance.

I may very well be wrong, but it seems the legs are not quite long enough for the body, nor the head quite large enough in comparison to the neck and body length while the horse's body seems quite thin and without muscle structure.

  2. Study anatomy.  Draw from life.  Draw every day.  Do not expect every drawing to be a masterpiece.

  3. There's an old story about a young musician whose ambition was to perform in Carnegie Hall.  He asked a famous musician, "how do I get to Carnegie Hall?" The answer..."Practice, practice, practice."  You just have to keep DOIN' it!!!  Also analyze your work, decide what it is that's lacking and find an instructor who specializes in that.  Truly...the best way is just to keep doing it and being your own critic.  This way you will also find your own "look" and technique.

  4. It lacks relevance.  Unless you're a kid...

As an adult, I would not pay for that to put in my home.

Otherwise, it looks like the animals you intended them to portray.

    This is my honest answer.

  5. Well deviant art is the best way to get constructive criticisms, but I had the same problem a while ago and had to stop drawing cartoons for awhile, but drawing from life (like sitting down and draw a bird or a person) will help you build your portfolio as well as your skills and confidants

  6. The thing I notice right off, is no ground.  They are standing on nothing.  It looks like their feet are not aligned because of that.

  7. Practice. Take art classes. Join art websites like sheezyart and deviantart where you can receive critique from other artists.

  8. Take some classes... no matter how much you know, you can always learn more.
